Da Zia Lalla

Offers a unique experience of living in a cave. Yet, it has all the modern comforts one can expect. Great location as well. From the terrace itself, one can get a great view of the town.

We had an excellent stay on family trip on Matera - Da Zia Lalla. Host Antonio was helpful and the information received before check-in was really helpful (although we had first some troubles to find the keys, but that's one part of the unique atmosphere of Matera where the streets are on different levels :) ). View from the terrace was phenomenal, and we enjoyed it a lot. Apartment is centrally located, and easy access to everything. Good restaurant on the same building to enjoy nice view of the Matera while having an Italian cuisine. There is also a public parking garage nearby to those coming with the car.

Not really anything that we did not like. Maybe a one development idea for the apartment is to add a full length mirror inside to have a last look when going out to enjoy the atmosphere :)

pending the night in a sassi was definitely an authentic experience. The place is comfortable, spacious, and ideal for four people. The view from the terrace is absolutely breathtaking, and the town center is within walking distance.

I would recommend to provide milk or cream to mix with the coffee.

Amazing location, right in the Sassi!!! We loved the little terrace with the best view!! The room was comfortable and cleverly divided and the bed really comfortable!!

Some of the furniture and the kitchen were a bit tired but that didn’t really affect our stay.

The location was perfect and the view from the terrace was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we couldn't have wished for more.
