Busy Bee Apartments

Location was great, the apartment was comfortable and well set out. Service was good, air con, ceiling fan, hot water, essential emergency supply of tea, coffee, sugar, salt, toilet paper etc. Laundry service freely available with any donations appreciated. On-site shop was brilliant. Christmas trees and Dec's a nice touch.

No microwave, pots a little small, maintenance response a little slow.

This is run by a very good team of people who are always happy to be of assistance if you have a question/query, or if you need something. There is a shop on site where you can buy bottled water at a reasonable price, and home-made yoghurt is available, along with various jams and peanut butter, again made by them. The kitchen has a good range of pans, and a 2-burner gas hob. The room and bathroom are quite simple, but everything is in good working order, the beds are comfortable and the sheets and towels are changed a couple of times a week. There is a ceiling fan, and if you want AC at night there is a very reasonable charge of 4 Euros a night. All in all I would recommend this as a quiet, safe and comfortable location.

The location is perfect, very central, walking distance from beach, Senegambia strip - important for party people 😉, supermarkets and restaurants. I was travelling alone, stayed here for 10 weeks and always felt very safe. My room offered all what I needed to feel home. The owner of Busy Bee, Claudette, as well as the other crew members like Fatou, Aida, Aisha and the others were always there with open ears and hearts to advice and help in case of need 🙏🏽 I am really sad to leave and will definitely come back as soon as possible.

The location of this property was excellent. It was within easy walking distance of the beach and many bars, but the area surrounding the property was quiet and secluded. The hosts of the property were lovely and made us feel very welcome. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Thank you to everyone at Busy Bees for making my stay so special.

Nothing was too much trouble .rooms surrounded by greenery .lovely terrace to sit out on . Home made yogurt available on site and interesting natural products for health also made . The peanut homemade butters and jams also worth tasting .The whole experience was relaxing and made for a perfect stay

Lovely apartment, lovely host and staff, lovely cats and dog around too! Such a quiet place with everything we could need for our holiday. I would definitely recommend and would love to stay there again on our next visit 😊

By far the best place I've stayed in in the Gambia. The owner, Claudette is great, and so are the staff. Everyone was very friendly and extremely helpful. The location is perfect if, like me, you don't like resorts and want a bit of interaction with the local people. It's a residential area, far from the touts, but close enough to walk to the beach or the better restaurants. The room is great, with a well accommodated kitchen and a fridge, hot water always running, nicely decorated and a wonderful sitting area. There's also a shop that sells locally made products, like honey, yogurt and shea butter. Profits go to their organization that helps to cure burns on children. Absolutely recommended!
