Bairrus Lisbon Apartments - Alfama III

The apartment is situated in the heart of Alfama, a truly charming location. Perched on the top floor, it offers breathtaking views of Lisbon, especially during sunrise and sunset. The host was exceptionally helpful, welcoming, and highly responsive to any inquiries.

If you are considering staying in the Alfama neighborhood, please note that it is one of Lisbon's oldest districts, characterized by steep, narrow streets and numerous stairs. This can be challenging, especially when carrying heavy luggage. The apartment itself is located on the third floor, accessible only via steep and somewhat unstable stairs, so this should be taken into account for luggage handling. As with many historic buildings, the apartment has some older structural features, though it is charmingly decorated. The beds provide reasonable comfort, and the lounge area is the highlight of the space, offering a spacious and inviting environment. However, the bathroom could benefit from modern upgrades, such as a walk-in shower, for improved convenience. It is also worth noting that, as is common in older buildings in Portugal and Spain, there may be a slight sewer odor in the bathroom.

Incredible location and felt like an authentic Alfama apartment. The stairs aren’t for the faint-hearted but the view more than makes up for it. Very spacious apartment with everything we needed and quirky decor. Our host was excellent and beyond helpful and sent us recommendations for restaurants etc.

Very cool apartment in a good location which had an amazing view.

Alfama is a very touristy part of the city, so we had easy access to many good restaurants. The kitchen was adequately stocked and it's a quiet location, despite being in the old city.

This place is totally inaccessible. Expect many, many narrow, steep stairs both in the building and neighborhood. Requires a degree of fitness.

The location of this property was top notch! super close to everything and the view from the apartment is so cool. The beds and the couch were also nice and comfy
