Bohemian Studio in Bairro Alto

The apartment was very clean and seemed more spacious than the photos - especially the bathroom which wasn’t pictured. Edgar was a great host - incredibly responsive and helpful. The location was perfect for us, central and easy access to the airport using the metro.

It was noisy in the evenings as the apartment is in a busy neighbourhood but we expected this and it wasn’t a problem for us.

Location, price, utilities

The flat is clean has all the facilities, location is good if you don’t have big luggage.

It was so noisy, that we couldn’t sleep till 5am. The people from bars are screaming and sing all night long.

The room was very modern and clean. I admired how tidy and clean it was. It smelled beautiful and everything was nice. The neighborhood was full of bars and restaurants so we could enjoy the life of Lisbon. Overall I have only positive memories of it!

I liked everything, I can’t find anything negative

(1) Location is good. It's only a walk to metro stations, grocery store and shopping mall (but it's only normal western brands and not specifically portuguese). (2) OK night life and people party out on the streets. Easy to start conversation with others and there are many tourist partying.

(1) The house is on the ground floor, and during our first day we discovered 3 cockroaches that we caught under glass. The owners blamed that the area is filled with restaurants and therefore it is "not their fault". When we asked for compensation, they replied that it is not possible because it is "not their fault" and instead only sent a cleaner. We know the cleaner fixed the bathroom and removed cockroaches. But it was not a deep cleaning and nobody changed the bed sheets. The owners also said that we should throw away food daily so as not to attract cockroaches. We gave up and continued to stay because we had plans nearby, we are young in a foreign country with a small budget and Booking.com also did not want to support us to get a compensation for the cockroaches. In addition, a refund would take about 12 working days and we was not given alternative accommodations. We felt powerless in our situation. (2) We stayed there for 6 days and there were no extra bedding to change with even tough there was plenty of storage for it. In addition, the owners had posted warnings on the wall that we have to pay for the white towels if they become discolored. We don't understand how this apartment got 9 points when it feels like you have to be careful and afraid under a vacation. (3) The sofa bed is broken and uncomfortable to sit on. If you want an extra bed, then you have to ask in advance for a mattress on the floor. Me and my friend didn't ask for it because we had seen cockroaches and instead shared the bed which is about 160 cm wide. (4) During out stay the roof started leaking water down into the kitchen. The owners again said it was "not their fault" as it is caused by the neighbor above. The owners seemed unfazed by our complaints, which tells us that these events are not new to them. We advise you not to waste your time, money and energy on this booking.

Great location, nice bedding and pillows, comfortable bed, good kitchen amenities.

The shower head was low for a tall person, and the sofa wasn’t very comfortable to sit on and watch tv.

Everything was good, I recommend this place
