Zurbano Madrid - Apartamento Elegante y Confortable en el Centro

La ubicación.

Poco luminoso. Orientado a patio de luces estrecho y poco luminoso. Necesita algún trabajo de mantenimiento. Las mesillas de noche llenas de routers que restan confort debido a las lucecitas y quitan espacio.

Location

Dated, worn, images staged, traditional Madrid apartment so no direct sunlight and cool ( maybe an advantage in high summer)

OK, so the pros: - The apartment is in a good location; easy walking distance to the metro, the centre of town and within reach of a number of restaurants, cafes and bars. - The apartment was clean and there was fresh bedding and towels. - The communication with the host was very good; they were extremely responsive and informative.

Sadly, there were more major negatives really: - The photos are really inaccurate: the apartment is much darker and older than it looks in the photos. - The bathroom left a lot to be desired: cracked tiles, dripping shower, mould around the silicone. - The access to the apartment is via a 'clever' mag-lock system that you access via a secure weblink over WiFi. In theory, it works great. However, on one of the days I was there some workmen were replacing electrical fuses in the building, meaning I couldn't actually get into the apartment when I needed to as there was no electricity. Whilst I recognise this isn't the hosts' fault, the fact of the matter was I couldn't get into the accommodation I had paid for.
