Apartamento Puerto Deportivo - VUT-219-AS

The apartment was comfortable, central to all attractions with a friendly helpful ‘Portera’. We liked the restaurants beach and views of the port. The apartment was clean and well prepared and hosts were easily contactable and responsive. We were given a nice tortilla and beer as a welcome gift.

An observation not a complaint: a multi port socket to connect the internet and TV was faulty - which I easily replaced with a spare. For a 10 day stay there were no bathroom cleaning products. We bought a product.

Great location, very comfortable beds, wonderful view, clean apartment. Easy to park, easy to walk into Gijón.

Slight issue with check-in, where we had to wait for someone to open the building door so we could get into the apartment. But quickly overcame that, and a great first impression when we stepped into the apartment.

Was a little noise, but nothing to worry! if you want a location.

The apt is in a plaza setting with restaurants below. It was a bit of noise, but NOT very loud. The windowed terrace was great for relaxing and watching the activities below. It is a very good location for walking to various places and sites. Grocery market within a short walk.

Sofa was a bit uncomfortable. I'm older (71) and like softer sofas.

A daily odour from the shower drain. The kitchen could do with four mugs for tea or coffee.

The location was great. You were near the beach, the shops, all the good restaurants and the plazas. The size of the apartment was also very good. Good size kitchen with everything you need.

Sadly the apt was dirty when I arrived and it smelled. The smell didn't go away even after airing out the apartment. Need to be aware that the apt is above a very busy plaza, your windows are open to cool down the apt, so if you are looking for somewhere quiet, this is not it.
