Acolhedor Apartamento Em Alfama

This was in a very central location close to the historical area and fado music. We were given good maps and suggestions.

The room was small although spotlessly clean and well organised. we had trouble finding the right coffee capsules and milk. The area can be a little noisy.

Most interesting section of this most interesting city. Studio was clean and adequate. Good bed. Excellent location for walking, sights, eating and Fado music. Good multilingual TV.

A chair for sitting would help. Small but adequate.

Excellant service from Ana (even when we started to question her 2 weaks in advance) Immediate responce every time. When booking in she gave us a good map with basic attractions and her location. We even got metro line map.

Very good stay in Lisbon in Ana's place, essencially because of two factors : First, Ana is a wonderfull guest. The communication was easy and very good before our arrival so it was really easy to come to her place the day we arrived. Even if we arrived very late in the night, Ana waited for us close to the appartement and took all the time required to bring us to the appartement and give us a lot of good informations about our stay and about Lisbon in general. Then, the studio is in a very quiet neighborhood, that allowed us to sleep well at night and be fit for visiting this beautiful city of Lisbon. The studio in itself is well located, close to the castle and the main public transport stops. The size of the appartement is perfect for 2. To sum up : very good place, I recommend deeply.

Nothing really special, maybe we wanted to stay longer, 4 days was too short :).

- The flexibility of the host regarding check-in and check-out in accordance with the circumstances - Very, very clean, which is not that obvious in the lower (dirtier) part of the Alfama district (in some places just a few dozens meter away you can have huge cockroaches, so we were happy to be in a clean place) - In case you need a +/- secure car park, the nearby cruise ship terminal has one - Litterally everything you need is there. Fully equipped. - Close to lots of restaurants, small shops, the Fado museum, the cathedral, etc.

- The stairs are a nightmare with big luggage - Not suitable for people with disabilities - Lower part of the Alfama means, of course, it can be noisy at times. However, this is still not the worst I've seen in my life. - Wi-fi was slow.

Where it was situated which was in a traditional house in an area with narrow cobbled streets. Ana, our host was excellent from the start of our booking to completion. We were met at the property and provided with lots of valuable information about Lisbon and the area we were staying in.

There was nothing we did not like - it was perfect for us!

The room was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. We truly felt like we were in Portugal staying there. The host was very pleasant, informative and thorough. The location was conveniently located to public transportation and restaurants.

Since the guesthouse was located in the historical district, there was street noise (people talking, etc), but it stopped by 11. The guesthouse was a bit challenging to find in the maze of historical streets, however, the owner met us at a convenient spot and walked us to the guesthouse.

The apartment is located in lower Alfama, and there are only two blocks from the Fado Museum, so it is easy to get to with luggage. It is also only a five minute walk to a Metro station. Kitchenette and bathroom are modern and well equipped. Ana. Was very helpful and easy to work with. Was very quiet and relaxing.

As others have said, the apartment is rather small, especially the bathroom and bed area. But space is fine for two people . Do be careful of bed leg right outside of the bathroom. It's easy to hit a toe or foot on.
