"Surprise packet"

Might look dated on the outside but unit 1 we stayed was completely remodelled inside. Lovely Deck outside looking to the river. Great location just across the road from supermarket and eateries.

Location

Barbecues do not work. they need to be replaced or refurbished. They are filthy and dangerous with faulty knobs that can leave valves in on position allowing gas to flow. Disgusting Not one electrical appliance has been tagged and tested, which is a legal requirement. If there is a serious electrical incident the property owner is liable. Veranda timbers are rotting away.

"A spacious and comfortable base from which to visit Maria Island"

We arrived at the property from Bicheno, and found it fairly quickly. We were very pleased to find that there is a good supermarket directly opposite. The property was spacious and well equipped, and we were very comfortable. The kitchen was well supplied with everything for basic cooking We spent two nights here, visiting Maria Island during the day - the ferry terminal at Triabunna is only a 15 minute drive away. After visiting and cycling around the island we grabbed dinner at The Fish Van - good fish and chips. We also walked around the nearby beaches in Orford in the sunshine, which was very enjoyable.

The TV was good, once we worked out how to connect it to internet via a hotspot from our phones, and then log into my Netflix account. It would be great if the property had its own internet. The communal clothes washing facilities were coin-operated, which seemed a little mean - much better to let residents use it free, or provide some tokens.

"Contained apartment in prime location"

Two bedrooms, electric blankets and comfortable beds. Full kitchen and a dining table and lounge space all in open plan. Excellent location in the village of Orford. Opposite the IGA and the coffee shop.

Nice size rooms and clean

No WiFi, even though when we booked, it said there was. We also had to chase up the keycode to get in. A bit tired and dated. Very close to quite a busy road too
