Het zeezicht...

Krakend bed rechterkant; achter het bed heel veel stof op de plinten. 5 afstandsbedieningen, waarvan 1 werkt. TV slpk. werkt niet naar behoren, maar 1 zender werkt). Nergens handleidingen gevonden. (Wij hebben ze in ieder geval niet gevonden) Ik had naar app. met 2 slpk. gevraagd en booking.com zet daar dan 1 slpk. appartementen bij, met mogelijkheid sofabed in living...tja, alsof dat hetzelfde is. Was helemaal niet duidelijk op de foto's, het sofabed staat opgemaakt op de foto??? Zeer vuile ramen in de living! 2 braadpannen waren echt niet meer te gebruiken (puur gif als men daar iets zou in klaar maken). Ik was genoodzaakt om me een nieuwe aan te schaffen. En 'last but not least'...Hushwell, en meestal ook Booking.com kan ons niet helpen in het Nederlands...Moeten wij met z'n allen uit het Nederlandse taalgebied, even vlot Engels spreken en verstaan? Booking.com is toch een Nederlands bedrijf?

Voor ons wat dit helaas geen fijne ervaring. Wij kregen na ons incheck pas meer info over de locatie van de parking( die dan nog eens niet onder het gebouw is maar nog een klein stukje lopen is. Niet ideaal als je als gezin reist) Ook heeft Justin van de klantendienst me ontzettend goed geholpen toen ik nog geen mail gekregen had met de code van de kluis en de garagepoort

Hygiëne en de parkingspoort die niet opende. Hygiëne: hier is duidelijk enkel oppervlakkig gereinigd door de kuisploeg want bij aankomst lag er overal zand. We zijn geen clean freaks maar dit was absoluut niet aangenaam! Ons baby van 1 jaar hebben wij 3 dagen niet over de grond laten kruipen aangezien hij vol zand en zwart op zen kleren had. Parking: niet hun schuld maar de garagepoort ging niet open waardoor er geen enkele auto van die ondergrondse parking in of uit kon rijden. Andere bewoners stonden ook voor een gesloten deur.

I think it is rather a question of a different vision on hospitality approach: the fact that the appartment is managed by a hospitality company doesn't really bother me but I didn't really like being reminded every 3 days of the pre-checkin 2 weeks in advance, it felt a bit too much... Also, we learned only after the check-in that you could only check in from 5pm and that if you wanted to check in earlier you had to pay 39€... which I thought was a bit much and not that easy if you are travelling with a little child... All the information for the appartment was an app/website and that is very efficient but also loses the personal approach...For the baby cot, we had to look for it and set it up ourselves, which is fine but again lacks a bit of a personalized hospitality touch.... Another thing: apart from salt, there was no tea or some cooking oil which are in my point of view a bit like basics for a kitchen. I know these are all details and the place is still really nice and we had absolutely a great time!

Superb location near the beach and restaurants. The tram stop is close by and very easy to use. The apartment was good. Bed was comfortable, shower was great and there was a well stocked kitchen with plenty of crockery and cooking utensils. It was a really hot week, but although there wasn't aircon, there was a through draught from the bedroom windows to the lounge windows. A lovely place to stay. I would stay there again.

The lock box wouldn't open and is inside a mail box. It was dark so had to use a torch to see the numbers which wouldn't open. This involved a phone call to check the number given was correct, which it was and then be given the back up key code number to find the spare keys, which thankfully worked. It would have been useful if the parking instructions had been included in the arrival instructions. Fortunately, there was plenty of free parking near the tramline. The sofa was a little uncomfortable.
