Ripley Peak District Gateway

WE booked this property as it was very close to my sisters that we were visiting for christmas

Maybe left instructions on the boiler on how to top the pressure up . I knew how to do this so it wasn't really a problem

The location was lovely. So quiet and peaceful. Well hidden lockbox and easy to get inside. Lovely comfy beds. Fine for a couple of nights stay. Good value for what we paid.

The place could have done with a little more attention to detail. Initial impressions were a little dubious as the front garden looked uncared for. Upon entry, the impressions were initially good, but with further inspection, we discovered old mould on the wall paper, some old marks on the blinds, the carpets made our feet black. There was an over Riding funny smell throughout. Some of the towels had a peculiar smell. We just felt the whole place could be better cared for.

wasn’t told in advance that it was a shared drive with a converted garage at the back. main bedroom had black mould on the wall. bathroom floor tiles blown. overall v poor.

Decent size, beds were comfortable and living room was a nice family space. Had everything we needed.

Could do with a little TLC. Kitchen doors, cracked tiles in bathroom, dampness to walls etc. But that’s just been pernickety.

Easy location, free parking

hot water could be improved for shower but nothing to fault

Host had thought of everything for a holiday stay.

Smell of damp, decor very tired.

Stale smell through the whole of the property.
