Apartments Modrušan

This is a pleasant apartment between Rovinj town and a natural park which is great to walk or cycle round (bicycles are available to borrow free of charge). It is about 20 minutes walk to the delightful town where there are many restaurants and other facilities. There is a supermarket nearby. Note that the arrangement is to pay the owner in cash for your stay.

everything very old, there is a boiler that doesnt work - so no warm water in the shower during the evenings, lots of ants in the kitchen, impossible to leave anything outside of fridge, disgusting, old furniture smell inside the wardrobe, very far away

I would recommend the apartments to everyone. From families to couples. There was a playground for children. Bicycles were included which was very useful and I enjoyed the terrace A LOT. Very clean and the family is very welcoming and friendly. I felt like staying with my own family! Thank you so much!

We stayed four (4) nights here on our month long tour of Croatia, using Rovinj as a base to explore the Istria Region. We visited Porec, a few hilltowns, Pula and of course, lovely Rovinj. If I had to do anything differently, I would have added an additional day. Our one bedroom apartment was located on the ground floor and we were able to park right next to it which made unloading our bags stress free. There were two (2) terraces, one in the front, and another in the back off of the bedroom. The unit was well appointed and spotless, we even cooked a few meals in an attempt to keep costs down. There was plenty of space to store our suitcases and spread out without the unit looking too cluttered. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom also had a small sitting area. There was a door separating the bedroom from the kitchen/bathroom area so as an early riser, I could make my coffee, and plan the day’s adventures without disturbing my husband. I did all the planning and he drove the car in return. There are nine (9) units for rent in this complex, each with its own independent entrance, and it is situated in a residential area. The hosts also live on site and Vedran was present when we arrived, guiding us into our parking space, and made us feel welcomed over several drinks while giving us lots of information about the nearly beaches and all the beautiful sites to visit around Rovinj and the Istria Region. We did not even have to go to the tourist bureau after speaking with him. Apartments Modrusan is well located to tour the Istrian Region and there is a well-stocked grocery store within walking distance. It will take about 25 minutes to reach the historic district if one wishes to walk, or you can take one of the available bikes. We preferred to drive in as parking costs were very reasonable.

My only complaint was the noise from the family renting the unit above us. Each morning, quite early, the child would begin his day by running around the unit and dragging some toy (a car?) across the flooring. Annoyed at not being able to sleep past 6am, I would make my coffee and go sit outside and enjoy the songs of the birds.
