everything, the swimming pool was perfect

The whirpool bathtub was a definite plus :) Also there's a little shop at the entrance where you can buy regional stuff like (non-alcoholic) beer, wine, juice and more. You pay by just putting money in a little box which is a nice system.

The place was directly located at a highway which means that you were confronted with cars zooming by when looking out the window. Even though it says "soundproof" on the website, it's rather loud. If you're comfortable with people looking at you while eating or lying in bed you can leave the curtains open. Otherwise you should close them which makes the room even darker than it already is. The pots and the pan were dirty. We tried to clean them best we could but without proper cleaning supplies like vinegar it's not possible. We were told that there was floor heating but the floor was cold. Also there was no way to control the room heating. There was a folder that explained everything there was to know about the apartment (except how to control the heating) but it was in Dutch. It would have been nice to a have copy for the most important stuff in English. The bill was also in Dutch. All in all it's too expensive for the location; if we would have known that there was a highly used road next to it, we would not have booked it.

The room was super neat and everything was fully functional. I also loved that the footpath through the woods starts just across the street. The castle and surroundings are beautiful.

The only thing I would prefer to be different, was the constant traffic noise from the busy road. I needed a peaceful place to find inspiration for writing and the traffic noise caused distraction. I reckon a room on the other side of the building facing away from the road, would be better in this regard. This is really the only thing, otherwise everything was great!

Fantasic location: directly opposite Ruulo castle, about 5 minutes walk from the train station or town center. Quite and peaceful Great kitchen facilities: induction hob, coffee maker, fridge Large clean room and bethroom Good temperature control/heating Friendly and helpful host. Very easy to contact. Has a pool too!

I would have preferred to have paid using debit/credit card instead of bank transfer (which I could not do while travelling)/cash.

Everything was ok, the owner are wonderful people
