I loved the property, very clear instructions on how to enter.

The only negative about my stay was the shower. Once the water is turned on, the shower head falls down, and no amount of tightening will it stay up.

We liked the location of the apartment, and how close we were to the beach, Sarina, Mackay, and surrounds. Also that our car was locked during the night. Sarina beach is a beauty!

We arrived and the pin to the lock box had not been sent to us yet, had to call the host, it was very frustrating. Upon entering the premises we noticed a lack of general maintenance and cleanliness. The internet was not working on arrival, host had to provide another device which took a few days. On the very first night, we experienced plumbing issues, which continued over our stay, with the shower not draining, and gurgling noises and smells coming off the drains. Double mattress was an absolute disgrace, with no support at all. Single mattress on bunk had parts falling off. You also can not close blinds properly, they were broken, and curtains were not black outs, complete lack of privacy. Mould could be observed in the bathroom and bedroom. Kitchen was greasy, and dirty. If we could have, we would had left on the 1st day. This property is clearly not cleaned by professionals as stated, and if it is, please change companies! We made our time at the apartment very short every day. Hopefully the host will invest the money we paid to improve the property for future travelers.

Location, comfort, technology and the lovely lady downstairs

We didn’t use aircon because the weather was amazing, but with all the windows open the neighbours who fish early were very loud 🤷🏻‍♀️

the owner. we were made to travel 1.5hr round trip to Mackay yo get a key for the deadlock door after we had closed it to go for a walk not knowing that the key provided wouldn’t unlock both ur and screen door. there was no clear instructions to not lock the deadbolt door. we were then given a key which we couldn’t understand why it wasn’t provided in the first place. no compensation was offered and only solution offered was for us to drive the 1.5hr round trip to owners work place you get key as if it was our fault. No responsibility was taken on behalf f the owner and their excuse was that they were working soon we’d have to drive in to get the key. utterly unacceptable and ruined completely what would have otherwise been a nice stay
