Location near Sendai Station. Kitchen Quiet Comfortable beds

Toilet - water turned off for sink. Had to go out of the toilet room with dirty hands. One bedroom didn’t have a useable closet. Closet door was locked.

The location was a 15 minute walk from Sendai station at a leisurely pace. Between busses and walking we were able to get around Sendai pretty easily. Food, museums, and shopping locations were all along the walk from the station so we were happy campers. The beds were comfy enough and the living room was bigger than we expected. The comforters on the bed were awesome and kept us so warm that some rooms didn't even need to have the heaters on while we slept even though it was so cold outside. We paid roughly $30 a night per person which we thought was extremely fair. I'd definitely stay here again. The hosts were also quick to respond to questions I had before our check-in date.

The host sent a list of ground rules right before our check-in date. On the list it mentioned that no guests are allowed whatsoever on the property unless they are guests paying to stay the night who have also submitted their passport photo and full name, address, phone number, etc (which all guests booking this location must submit for each person staying). I understand that guests booking the property must do this because of a Japanese law (it isn't the host's decision), but not being allowed to have any guests visit, even quietly, surprised me. My friends and I came to Sendai to visit a single friend who is going to school here. Her dorm is too small to have everyone over so we thought we could have her come sit in the living room to visit. Instead she stood outside on the street while waiting for us to drop our bags off, which was kinda a bummer. At least restaurants and cafes aren't too far of a walk so it wasn't too bad to find somewhere to sit and chat, I just felt apologetic to her because we didn't know she couldn't come in at all when we booked the property to see her.

It is conveniently located which is close to JR and Metro stations. The room was neat and spacey. We enjoyed very much our stay there.

The apartment was very clean and spacious.
