New and clean inside. Central location if you want to be in the midst of it.

As soon as you open the door you get hit with a moldy smell, which is unfortunate as the place was newly remodeled. This was a theme throughout our 5 week stay all over Portugal in 6 out of 8 rentals. The scaffolding and the work outside woke us up some mornings, there were days no work was being done. Debris would fly in if the windows were opened. If you close them you are in a cave with no air. We always have our windows open where we live, for fresh air. Although here opening the windows sometimes brought in both funky restaurant kitchen and moldy construction smells as well. We loved everything in Portugal except the mold and sewer smells in many of the homes we stayed in. While the gift of 2 bottles of wine is appreciated, I would have appreciated coffee pods much more. 3 coffee pods for a 5 night stay in a 3 bedroom home. Wouldn't be much of a problem if they were generic and readily available. They had to be a specific store brand which isn't located nearby.

The property is very conveniently located. The apartment is spotless and spacious.

The whole building is being renovated and is surrounded by scaffolding. This makes it impossible to open any window and combined with the lack of AC or even ceiling fans, turns the place damp and smelly. I honestly don't think the place should be rented out like that. Finding the apartment was tricky as it is on the lower floor under a bridge. The apartment lacks some basic necessities like utensils, paper towels, etc

Wide and specious in SUPERB location, beautifully designed inside. All new and modern furniture and equipment. Soft & cozy towels, and the best is the thought on the kids with nice toys (kids kitchen, puzzles and books). This property is just perfect for family with babies, toddlers and teenagers. Location is just perfect, one minute walk from main square of Sintra, very convenient for reaching out to restaurants and shops. TIP 1: Arriving to Sintra, don't set the navigation app to the address, but target to Palacio Nacional de Sintra. It will save you the drive around the entire town on the narrow roads, and will get you 2 minutes away in convenient walk. TIP 2: If you stay the night in Sintra, plan to arrive around early evening to increase the probability to find easy and closed by parking spot.

Responsiveness of the appartement owner/customer support should have been better and in more timely manner mainly around our questions about arrival and parking instructions/suggestions. During our stay the refrigerator wasn't working properly and the promised Coffee capsules and wine couldn't be found. It was really not dramatic, and I assume it was just by mistake since no doubt that this is a property where they thought and invested for every detail.
