Central Tavira apartment with balcony, Casa Cristina

This apartment is situated very conveniently in Tavira. The owners Ollie and Christine have thought of everything one would need to enhance your comfort and my Husband and I really appreciated the home from home feeling. If you intend on visiting Tavira and also enjoy your home comforts, then this is the place for you.   For convenience the location is hard to beat; just minutes on foot to the river, restaurants, bars and to local stores (both small shops and large supermarkets)everything you need is right there. For those who have travelled by car there is free car parking on the street below.  The hosts have equipped the apartment suitably for you to self cater, there is the added bonus of a washing machine and a little balcony equipped with a small wall attached airer for your clothes to dry out on. There is also air conditioning in both the bedroom and the lounge although we did not feel the need to use this facility as the apartment was comfortably shaded and airy  during our stay. If you are considering visiting in Tavira I would urge you to book this place.  Having read through the visitors/guest book many of the entries are from people who have returned time and time again which substantiates what a good find this apartment is. 

It did not bother either myself or my Husband but there are two flights of stairs to negotiate so for some less mobile people this may prove to be an issue.

Christine the host met us when we arrived and showed us everything. It was my husbands birthday and she had cakes from the local pattiserie and a bottle of wine waiting for us! The apartment was well equipped with everything we could possibly want or need which made us feel right at home. Perfect location and short walk from a fantastic supermarket & the river and town.

The bed being a double was a little small.

Christine, our host met us when we arrived to let us in, give us the keys and show us the property. She made us feel right at home and was available if we needed anything. The pasteries, fruit and bottle of wine waiting on us was a perfect way to start our stay.

Amazing apartment in Tavira’s old town! It has been a pleasure staying almost for week there. It is very well equipped and you feel like home! Undoubtedly, I will come back :)

No cons

The apartment was really close to the river, supermarket, ferry stop, restaurants and ice cream parlours!!! It was clean and had everything we needed including beach towels! Host was helpful and great at communicating quickly.

It was all good.

Location, semi-stocked fridge and kitchen, travel guides and books available, large size. Very friendly and helpful hosts.

I wish the double bed was a bit bigger.

A lot of stairs to get to the apartment so if you have mobility issues, you might want to consider this aspect

Very nice place near the center of the town (less than 10 minutes) but in a quiet street. Fully equipped including stuff you even didn't know you need! Christine is a great host, very welcoming, always ready to help and share tips. Definitely wort a stay.
