Using a lock box meant we were able to just pop in a code and gain entry to the property. We really did feel like we had all the comforts of home around us, there were even some groceries - salt, flour, olive oil, balsamic vinigar etc ! Plus there are resturants on the property, a mini market. We arrived to the best surprise of all a cold bottle of water and ice in the fridge!! Town was an easy distance to walk in to as was "Poor mans beach". Our neighbours were quiet and the bird life was out of this world!!

The key did get stuck ocassionally - it needed to be in a certain position to slide out ! The swimming pool rules are over 8 points long and while I understand that given the complex is not secure and there are toursits who dont behave, there needs to be some level of expected behaviour / rules, but they were off putting enough for us that we only went once!

Communication with the host was great. Everything you would need was supplied and very good quality. The location was excellent, near to shopping and everything within walking distance. Tavira is a beautiful little village. I would not hesitate to book again.

Location, it was clean with little extras that made it perfect . Alex went above and beyond as a host - picking us up from the train station when we arrived. He also gave us great advice about places to visit in and around Tavira. Fresh oranges to enjoy right from Alex’s orchard. It was a lovely stay that we hope to repeat soon. 😊
