Helen's Sounio Apartments

Clean place with everything we needed.

Michael is an amazing host and the house is very big, clean and comfortable. When we arrived they left us a courtesy wine and easter treats. The rooms where spacious and they were very accomodating of our big family. The appartment also offers great internet for working from home and a beautiful view of the sea. Easy access to the beach. I recommend! Michaelis is very kind.

We are 2nd time visitors and when/if we return to Sounion, we will certainly stay here! Nice, big, comfortable rooms. We didn't get a chance to utilize the kitchen, but it looks great for a longer stay.

Fantastic host. Great apartment

The accommodation was very spacious and well fitted out. There were plenty of wardrobes and drawers for clothes. We didn’t use the cooking facilities but we could have cooked a three course meal if we’d been inclined. Helen’s husband was wonderful (we never saw Helen) and the pair of them keep the place “spotless”.

The apartment was well located. Roomy for two people and very well equipt and clean. The host Michalis was on hand for any questions. We loved our trip!

I was gifted a bottle of wine and some nibbles, and cold water left in the fridge which was much appreciated. The apartment was very clean and AC worked very well against the heat. Views were gorgeous. A quiet and secluded place. Much more suited to a couple or small family.

If you are looking to get out and about you definitely needed a car to get around. While the host Michael offered to drive me to the super market, it was for a cash only payment, which I felt was rather expensive. While being off the beaten track the signs and lighting to the apartment at night were lacking. I left the outside light on for my safety only to find it had been switched off when I got back to the apartment late at night. 😬 (Being there for a wedding I was in and out during the day arriving back late at nights.) I also found one day that the host had entered my apartment without my knowledge. I assumed it was to clean, but (as a solo female traveller) I felt very uncomfortable about this situation. I did question the host and he said he went in to clean. 😐 I did explain to him that that’s not acceptable without my knowledge. On the last day I HAD to leave the apartment by 11am even though my flight was at 6pm. Being out in the middle of nowhere made this a little distressing, however the hired driver to the airport was able to pick me up at 11am.
