Key code did not work. New code was sent after we left home and we were unaware there was a new code.

The table and chairs were in the main bedroom and we had to move them to the kitchen so not to disturb people sleeping in the bedroom. Rooms are designed very well but not kept as well as expected. Ran out of toilet paper, paying a couple of pounds for more toilet paper would have been appreciated. Looked like there were dirty sheets in the cupboard. There was an iron there.

Location in middle of town was great although a bit noisy from the traffic. Wifi.

We had stayed here on a previous occasion so had an idea of what to expect. Last time was just after some Covid restrictions had been lifted and although we had a problem gaining access to the property a phone call call did the trick. NOT SO this time. I e-mailed the property the previous Friday (we stayed from the following Tuesday) and asked for an e-mail or text with the door and key box codes before we arrived. Nothing was ever received. On arrival we phoned the number given to us by Booking.com - it went straight to voice mail as did the number advertised on the door. We ended up going to the cafe downstairs only to be told the person responsible was away on holiday! However the girl we spoke to in the cafe was quite helpful and got us the info we needed. We should not really have needed to have done this. Although not 5 star it did the job and so we felt ok staying here again. However something has obviously happened. The windows, sills and frames were very dirty and actually looked as if they had not been cleaned in the 18 months since we were last here. The stairs and landings were filthy and litter not moved from these areas the whole time we were there. There was broken glass in the outer door (probably because of the constant banging) . There were light bulbs missing and the handle on the door of the shower was coming off because there was only only bolt holding the screws in place. There were 4 of us but only enough crockery for 2 - yes we did book for 4 of us, (maybe we were put in the wrong apartment?) also although the mattresses were fine a 13.5 tog quilt doesn't quite cut it when the night time temperature is 20c. This made it very difficult to sleep. Most of these problems were obviously not caused because someone was on holiday as they are long standing, but I am sorry to that they do need attending to.

Location - perfect

Dirty. Thick black mold in shower, deposits on lounge lampshade with flies permanently in situ, filthy wall vent in lounge, lip imprints on glasses. Poorly stocked kitchen (crockery). Such a shame, could be brilliant, someone obviously put a lot of thought into the decor once.
