We went on a week holiday to Hungary and we decided to stay 3 nights in Tihany and the rest in Budapest. Family of four. The apartment was perfectly clean, fully equipped, nicely decorated. Nothing was missing - even got a complementary coffee and some (local) lavender chocolates for which we thank the owners :) The apartment has the extra "cosy" touch, warm colours, wood, good quality finishing and appliances. Nicely isolated - no drafts, no noise, plenty of natural light everywhere (important to us). Since we have rented a local car for this trip - we wanted a parking spot, too. Yes, a few cars can be parked on the property, so no issues either. A small convenient store "ABC" is available next door (literally) for basic shopping and another one 10 minutes away. Keep in mind that not all businesses accept cards so have some local money with you just in case. A big supermarket (Tesco) is 8 minutes away driving. Avoid the "ATM" machines available everywhere that have a very high commission fee(about 30%) and go to a real bank (like OTP) where you can exchange with a better rate at their machines. The region is a must see for Hungary - you can go on short and long walks, rent bikes, hike, go fishing etc. And again, should you need accommodation, make sure you book Dália Apartman! Marius
