"Pleasant"

Great location

No mention in the listing that it is on the 3rd floor, just states no lift. I would not have booked it if I knew that. My mother had just had a knee operation and struggled with the steps. The apartment itself is very dated and could do with some modernisation.

"Great location in a lovely apartment!"

Great location, just around the corner from all the main attractions such as the Arena di Verona and Juliette’s balcony. Traditional apartment, quiet given its location and very clean and comfortable.

Just to note, there are no lifts in this building and quite a few stairs. Not an issue but just to be aware of you have a lot of luggage!

This is an inexpensive apartment given the fantastic location, and the important things are spot-on - eg aircon and comfy beds. The place felt a little dark and dingy on entry, but once we'd opened up the windows, it was good. Communication with Maria by WhatsApp was brilliant - even at the weekend, and was a life-saver - using Easyparking to get a place to leave the car a few blocks away made life a LOT easier. Lots of steps to climb - needed to work-off the pizza.

Tricky parking, but that's central Verona for you, and something the hosts mitigated as well as one could hope for, Some wine glasses would be nice, but we were prepared and brought our own!

"It was great, except the washing machine and the cleaning guy."

Huge apartment, two balconies, everything you need to stay for a longtime.

Washing machine did not work and the guy who come for cleaning tried to hide the keys.

"Perfect place to explore everything Verona has to offer."

Excellent location. First time in Verona for us, and only had a long weekend to explore as much as possible. Old City location 5 minutes from the Arena was therefore perfect. And despite being so close to centre, it's in a very quiet street. Very nice pizza place next door, but no noise at all. Fresh fruit and veg store opposite.

It's a bit Spartan, but I guess that makes it easy to keep clean, and at the end of the day we just wanted a base to work from so we weren't inside all that much. Apart from lovely fresh fruit store opposite, couldn't find a grocery store anywhere nearby - not a criticism of Max's, but go prepared.
