Villa Bareta

The accommodation at Villa Bareta was in a word perfect. Wonderful surroundings, clean and fragrant accommodation with modern facilities including a shared summer kitchen and an excellent pool with jacuzzi overlooking the sea. The host was very kind, friendly and communicative, personally welcoming us at the beginning of our stay and showing us everything about the accommodation. The host also gave us some useful tips about boat taxis, restaurants, the old town of Trogir and other places and services in the area. We would love to come back here again and will definitely recommend this place to all our friends.

Fantastic modern apartment with a great view. Short walk to numerous beaches and either a 15 min walk or 20 min boat ride into trogir. The rooms all have shutters so can be really dark if needed. Lots of shops and good restaurants nearby.

Not a lot! There isn't a lot of shade directly next to the pool but is around the corner near the shared kitchen/BBQ area. No washing machine in the apartment but sure laundry can be arranged with host if needed for a longer stay.

The apartment is spacious, modern and well equipped. The pool area is clean and the sun loungers are comfortable. The apartment has a great view over the ocean, and is only a five minute walk to the water taxi stop and a couple of well catered supermarkets and a bakery. There is a Lidl and a Kaufland about a 10 min drive across the other side of the island. The bedrooms are good sizes, and the beds comfortable. The bathroom is a good size with a lovely walk in shower. I loved the shutters on the windows which made sleeping great as it kept the early morning light at bay until we were ready to get up. There's a comfortable seating area on the patio which during the course of the day gets lots of sun, and if there's shade you are looking for then there is a comfortable sofa seating area just to the side. I was a bit worried about how the shared kitchen would work, but the small kitchen in the apartment was sufficient for what we needed with a dishwasher, microwave, sink and fridge. We only used the communal kitchen once when we ate with 2 other families we became friendly with after the watching the Euro finals :). We only found out about the laundry room 2 days before departure...and after hand washing some items.....but that's a great advantage. There is also ample parking at the apartment. Would definitely recommend using the water taxi to get across to the old town (25 kuna adult 20 children), its the cheapest way to get there and only takes 20 mins.

The only thing missing for us was an actual oven There is a large bbq oven in the communal kitchen, which we were nervous about using, An electric oven to just use for pizza of something quick to cook would be great, but with this missing, it did not impact on our stay and the lovely time we had there. There is quite a steep hill to walk up to get to the apartment....but again it only take a couple of minutes, and the exercise is good!
