The design, the location

the bedding ( very thin duvet for the winter season, uncomfortable cheap pillows), the towels, the hairdryer ( frayed cable which is dangerous ) the bathroom heating.

Everything perfect!!

The apartment was stunning, every element was beautifully designed. It was like staying in a 5 star hotel with complete privacy. The attention to detail was second to none - everything was beautifully coordinated and had a very high end feel. The apartment was also very well equipped, including a Nespresso machine (takes classic capsules, available from the local carrefour) along with essential cleaning supplies. There was also a washing machine with detergent, and a dishwasher too. We really enjoyed the balcony/terrace - it was very peaceful and although not entirely private (it's part of the communal gallery but fenced off) we did not see many people. The patio was furnished beautifully and made for a very calming place to sit for a few hours. The location could not have been better - it was in the heart of Toledo with all attractions reachable on foot, yet because of the way the apartments are set up (all windows face into a private courtyard shared between a few apartments) it was very quiet and we were not disturbed. There were 2 air-con units - one upstairs and one downstairs. There is also a colony of bats nesting within the courtyard - it was magical seeing and hearing them. Entry was easy and very private (all done via codes so no meeting arrangements, etc) - just be sure to jot down the code for the block entry, and the code for the key safe before you travel. Free parking was available and suggested by the hosts - this was wonderful and very unexpected in Toledo. The apartment was easy to locate from their detailed instructions (sent in Spanish and English) - they even included instructions to the mechanical staircase to make getting up the hill easier with luggage.

The bed was a double - I have become used to super-king when travelling n Spain so this felt a little small, particularly as the room was large and could easily accommodate at least a king. There was also only one pillow each which I struggled with - I used scatter cushions as well. The host was helpful so I am sure they would have provided a second pillow each had we asked (which I would have done if there were not scatter cushions). Towels were quite small and thin - bath sheets would have been more in-keeping with the luxury of the apartment. A few plates and glasses had been put back in the cupboards dirty. The patio area also never had the sun on it - even in 38 degrees I like to sit in the sun a little. I checked this before travelling so knew what to expect and still enjoyed reading my book with a glass of wine in the shade but just wanted to make fellow sun-lovers aware.

The whole stay was lovely. Beautiful, clean apartment in the heart of Toledo. Easy communication with the host. All was smooth and light. Totally recommending it.
