Apartamentos La Casa Del Grial

This is a two-storey apartment off a small inner courtyard, with a bedroom and shower room on the ground floor and on the first floor a bedroom, sitting/dining room, shower room and kitchen. Narrow but well-equipped kitchen, with full range of appliances including a dishwasher and washing machine. Washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets supplied, but not clothes washing powder/liquid. En-suite to the downstairs bedroom a small shower and toilet were ingeniously built in under the stairs. Hand wash and sachets of shampoo and shower gel were supplied.

There was a faded sign on the front windowsill showing a score of 9.4 for 2016. The place is now looking a bit tired and dated - for example, 3 of the 4 mugs had chips/cracks round the edge. There was quite a lot of noise from upstairs (furniture scraping in tiled floor and water pipes). The apartment was very dark inside, with lots of dark wood, made worse by the appalling rainy weather. The kitchen ceiling and the extractor fan in the upper shower room leaked, but the rain was truly torrential. We tried, but failed, to understand the English translation of the instructions as to what to with the kitchen rubbish bag. The public car park was indeed only 1 minute’s walk away, but the stairs up from the car park (lift out of order), steps in the street and cobbled alleyways made it very difficult going for wheeled suitcases. The host gave us 30 euros in cash to pay for our two days’ parking, but actually it was 33 euros (albeit reduced from 44 euros). There was no bath mat supplied for the lower shower room - stepping out of the shower onto a tiled floor was slippery and dangerous.

The apartment was two stories. The first floor was complete with twin beds. We stayed on the second floor. All appliances felt brand new. The place appeared newly upgraded.

The location is not accessible by car at all. We had to park first and walk with the baggage via stone paved streets with steps. The entrance was locked, and nobody answered the door for a long while or the telephone. Check-in and check-out times are different than shown on the Internet. The parking is not free at all, just maybe a little discounted if you ask for a hotel ticket. After being admitted to the house, we never saw anybody for the entire duration of our stay. We left the keys in the mailbox.

Bad smell and not much hot water

Location is great, building is very impressive, an apartment is big. Host is nice and taking care of all the needs.

Air-conditioning didn't work well. The bed is small and not very comfortable.

This is a beautiful two story apartment with air conditioning, several minutes walk from the cathedral. This apartment fit my family of 5 without a problem, with one person sleeping on the sofa (which may fold out, but we didn’t try). It is also only a couple minutes walk from a large parking garage. The kitchen is full size, and there are two bathrooms with showers. I would definitely stay in the property again.

The parking payment instructions were not clear, since parking was included with the stay.

Very nice location, appartmenta also have its own charm.
