A bright, clean, spacious apartment. There are cafes, bars and supermarkets close by. We were able to securely store our bicycles overnight, and were able to leave them at the property early on the day of check-in while we explored the town on foot.

Great location, in the centre of Tolmin. Close to restaurants, parks and gas station. Right above a nice small caffe in the same street. Charming old building with a large staircase. The room had all the expected amenities and was clean. There was a working washing machine.

We never met the owner. We received the checkin instructions only after we ourselves filled in our identification information onto a third party online service that was sent to us by the owner - this is unusal since the owners usually fill in this info and we don't like moving to third party links outside of booking.com. The boiler was off before we came so we had to wait for it to heat up some water to take a shower. The towels were slightly funky of moisture. The TV had 5 programmes. The kitchen is minimal, the sink is worn out and damaged to a brown color inside. The shower is small and the doors are wobbly. 2 toilet rolls. Two-steps high beams are on the floor across the hallway in two places - need to step over them to get to the rooms. The couch is uncomfortable, but the beds are okay and the bedding felt and looked clean. No real curtains or blinds on windows to block sunlight so the sun is in very early - bring a sleep mask if you need darkness to sleep. If there's noisy people on the same floor you will hear them through the walls and the single beds are very squeaky so bring earplugs aswell. It was good value for money though - the hostel was the only available place at the same price.

Curtains could have been thicker and let in a lot of light. It is very close to a bar so it could be a little noisy.

Our host Anja was very communicative and helpful when we had some issues during check-in. The accommodation is in walking distance to cafes and restaurants (1-5 minutes), nice for a night after a long day of hiking.
