Studio in heart of Warsaw

Top floor flat - compact but got everything you need, even a washing machine, which is a nice touch. Smack in the city centre, but windows face a quiet courtyard - fresh air, no street noise, and no one watching you from across. Proper stay.

The place is in a quiet and, i believe, safe neighborhood. The flat overlooks the inner courtyard, so you never hear the cars driving. The instructions to self check-in are really clear, so a big thank you to the owner. The apartment is light. Has plenty of storage space. Does not provide the toiletry, but that isn't an issue with me, i carry my own. Doesn't have an air conditioner, but the weather was nice at the end of May, so I never needed it. It does have heating units so winter travelers can stay warm.

I think it is the problem with the ventilation, but there's sometimes a smell in the bathroom. Once i leave the door open the smell often gets into the studio. Nothing that an open window cannot fix, but i think it would be a problem in the cold times of the year. Also the water is leaking from the shower tubing and the drain is clogged. Again, can be fixed easily.

The owner of the property provided a lot of information and regular updates including key codes and instructions how to get the keys. The property is in a great location, a short walk from the central station, the cultural center and many shops etc, yet in a quiet street facing a peaceful courtyard, so even with the windows open, there wasn't much street noise, and with the gates and all, the place felt pretty secure. The apartment, while small, is well planned -- there is a kitchen with a decent size fridge, kettle, induction hob and even a washing machine. It has everything from pots to utensils. There is a dining area with a table and two chairs, a sofa bed and plenty of storage. The weather was warm so I didn't need the heater but there is one. The bathroom is well designed as well and even has a heated towel rack.

Some previous guests here left negative reviews about the shower and the mattress, which I thought I should address. I think the water pressure as a such is OK but the water volume coming out of the massage shower head is a bit low. It was manageable but it might benefit from some descaler or a soak in vinegar overnight. Another thing other guests have commented on is the bed. Personally, I slept very well but the bed is a sofa bed, so the mattress has sections and you need to decide which side of the bed you want to sleep on. In the center you'll be right in the gap and then you might not get a good sleep. Reasonably easy to figure out. This said, if the host wishes to invest a small amount, maybe the bed comfort could be increased with a simple foam mattress topper (e.g., https://www.amazon.co.uk/egg-crate-mattress-topper/s?k=egg+crate+mattress+topper, and you can probably find them cheaper than this).
