FOUR WHITE APARTMENTS

Luigi was a really really nice host! He gave us great tips, and even drove us to the starting point of a hike & to the bus stop. That made our stay really great! The apartment itself is in a really local neighbourhood, which we enjoyed. A supermarket, local restaurants and the bus stop are in walking distance.

There was a really mouldy smell. You could still see the black stains at the neighbouring flat, it seemed that they just painted over the mould to hide it. Otherwise, the apartment was not like in the pictures. It was a studio with only one room (so no separate living room with a couch which was on the pictures) and there was no view from the lower apartment. The whirlpool was also not working.

The convenience of the apartment, it had everything you could need. The helpfulness and kindness of luigi and his son, lovely breakfast in the bar.x

Beautiful & clean apartment with most things you need, including washing machine, kitchen appliances, and extra blankets. Good wifi. Host Luigi lovely and went the extra mile by driving me to the bus station to guide me where to go. Supermarket only a short 7 minute walk from property.

The city of Agerola gave me a bit of culture shock. I was told that European men have no filter and are “unhinged” in their ways of cat-calling women. Given it’s a small city outside of hotspots like Amalfi & Positano, I should have expected this a lot more. I am a female solo-traveller, and was given many remarks about asking me out on dates, and attempts were made by multiple locals to follow me back to the apartment. The host’s son also asked me to for my social media details upon arrival. This made me feel quite unsafe in this small town - next time I would probably pay more to stay closer to the hotspots, or come back with my boyfriend. I would also add a lot of travel time to get to/from Amalfi. The taxi’s cost up to €100 to reach the accomodation, whilst the Sita Buses are €2.20 (one way) but takes roughly an hour to reach Amalfi, and even longer during peak times of 10am-6pm. The buses also fill up half an hour before departure, something to be mindful of.

The apartment is very beautiful and spacious, with everything you might need. The terrace has a beautiful view on the mountains, perfect if you're looking to escape from a noisy city life. Luiggi is a wonderful host, he gave us advice and news about the places we were planning to go to and tips for a local restaurant that was truly amazing. We would definitely come back!
