Granny's Attic at Cliff House Farm Holiday Cottages,

The location is quiet with fields to the rear. The accommodation was of a very high standard, very clean, and comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need bar an oven, wine glasses and a bottle opener. Nice welcome tray with a pack of lovely biscuits and tea and coffee. Would we recommend or stay here again, absolutely. Owners were very helpful, perfect stay.

The access was under our accommodation a very tight covered part of the driveway, it can't be helped and our Volvo XC60 just fitted through, breathe in! The pillows were a tad soft for us, we prefer more supportive memory foam ones. Bed is low, not an issue for us but could be for someone else. These are very slight issues, just something that could be improved for the bed and pillows. Don't let this put you off at all as we said if we ever come up again we will be staying here, that says a lot!

Small comfortable self-contained studio property. Did me well for the coast to coast walk.

Downstairs shower was a little 'odd', would like a door or curtain.

Beautiful little apartment, very comfortable, cosy and clean. Loved the space. Lovely location.

The upstairs was warm and cosy, did not need the heating on when I was there and it was warm enough. The shower and toilet were downstairs and it was quite cold. Also the shower was an open shower and literally right next to the front door which I did not like and again it was quite chilly. Also a very sensitive smoke alarm! There was a toaster provided so I did some toast for breakfast and the alarm went off literally while I was making it. I did a second lot of toast and the same thing happened again, the alarm went off which I found strange as the toast wasn't even burning! Think this needs looking into.

Being an Attic apartment, there are no opening windows, just skylights, so nowhere ability to get fresh air.

On arrival we received a warm welcome from the owners. They provided tea , coffee and tasty biscuits which we really appreciated after a long drive. Granny’s Attic had a lovely cosy, homely feel. The facilities were great , the bed was so comfortable and the whole place was very clean. The outside area was spot on. Lovely well kept gardens with a place for the dogs to stretch their legs as well as a bathing area for them! I would highly recommend this place, we left feeling rested and recharged.

There was nothing to dislike.
