A sweet couple who welcomed us with warmth and explained to us everything about the house and the city and had even prepared a map for us. A complimentary bottle of an Alentejo wine and some cheese rounded up the exceptional welcome! Walking distance from the main square and all monuments. Fully equipped kitchen. Mini markets within walking distance. Provided an air conditioner and a fan.

A little far from full fledged supermarkets like pingo doce, which were driving distance.

This is going to be the most glowing review I have ever written, as the property and the hosts were truly exceptional. Before I'd even arrived, owners Luís and Antónia were very responsive. My arrival time was up in the air and they accommodated me as best they could--twice! Throughout my trip they offered helpful suggestions and advice. I was in Évora when the big blackout across the Iberian peninsula happened and they brought me canned food and a very powerful flashlight, just in case. As for the apartment, it was fantastic. Immaculately clean, a very central location that is less than a 5-minute walk to the center of Évora (Praça do Giraldo) and to a big free parking area just north of the city wall (Estacionamento Largo de Avis), as well as the Roman temple ruins and a host of other attractions, restaurants, cafes, and shops. The apartment is comfortably furnished and equipped. The kitchen had all the essentials, allowing me to cook a handful of times I didn't feel like going out. There are small grocery stores all over, including one just two doors down the street (and a sizable Pingo Doce supermarket about a 15-minute walk away), so picking up bread, fruit, and other essentials was easy. The bed was comfortable and had enough blankets. The apartment also had a couple of nice space heaters, as well as an air conditioning unit in the bedroom. It was a bit chilly during my April-May visit (and the apartment is on the cool side), so I didn't use the AC, but one of the space heaters worked well the few times I plugged it in. There's a TV with satellite or cable connectivity, so there was content available in English, Chinese, French, and Portuguese (of course). This was my third time in Évora and my first time staying here. Évora is a great hub from which to visit all of Portugal's Alentejo region. I spent 11 nights in this apartment and it really felt like home.

A comfortable, cosy apartment with everything we needed. It's situated in a quiet side street but very close to the centre. The hosts were kind and attentive.

Absolutely loved our stay in Evora. Luis and Antonia were the perfect hosts, full of recommendations from sites to restaurants...every one of them didn't disappoint. Location was perfect and we highly recommend their apartment.

Wished we could have stayed longer

Authentic Portugese experience in a beautifully renovated apartment inside the old city. Excellent hosts who take great care and pride in their homestay with exceptional cleanliness and facilities. Their kindness and consideration is impeccable.

The stairs are steep and this could be an issue for some. Also the building was on the damp side due to minimal sunlight.

The hosts went above and beyond.... They greeted us when we arrived with wine and cheese and we're so thoughtful, they did a map for us of all the things that we should see and checked in to make sure that we were enjoying ourselves. It was in the perfect location and if we come back we will definitely book it again.

Antonia and Luis greeted us to show us around the spacious accommodations. They had put together a map with ideas for things to do. Made us feel very welcome and had good communication.

Luis and Antonia greeted us on arrival and met with us again for our departure. They were friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. There was a courtesy bottle of wine and delicious cheese in the fridge. The house was clean and well appointed and very central to everything. Loved hanging out the washing like a local!
