Borda Fuertes

Set in a small hamlet about 6 km from the main road. Isolated but lovely setting. Garden was well equipped. Lots of sitting areas, sun beds and swing chairs.

I booked believing it was a house on its own! Be aware it is 2 apartments!! If you have the ground floor then you can hear people in the upstairs apartment. We were ground floor!! Garden, pool, BBQ all shared not private- feel duped by online description. Apart from giving us a key at the start we never saw hosts. We did see loads of cats at every meal time - big nuisance as they were not stray and underfed but begging! Getting the car to the apartment to unload was a nightmare very very narrow access (5cms to spare each side). Well used accommodation - a complete mismatch of cutlery, chipped bowls and mugs. Needs new kitchen ware. Nowhere to hang towels in en-suite.

The location and outlook is stunning but do research your route from the main road. Google is not currently to be trusted! The property is clearly a labour of love, beautifully maintained as is the garden. An array of cats and a grey parrot kept us entertained and the plunge pool was a god send in hit weather.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay, wonderful accommodation and facilities, friendly, welcoming hosts living on site, incredible location. Perfect for our family walking holiday, the region is just so beautiful.

Everything was fine, nothing to complain about — we really enjoyed staying here :-)
