The location was fine.

From the moment we arrived, the place looked sparkling clean—just like the reviews promised. But the nightmare began when we climbed into bed and found it full of sand. My husband was stuck on a tiny hard bed in the other room, while I endured a sleepless night on the couch. The sheets obviously hadn’t been cleaned. Then we noticed urine stains on the toilet—suddenly the whole place felt filthy. Staying a second night was out of the question. Getting inside was another struggle with a tricky door lock and a dark hallway where the motion light barely stayed on, even during the day. When we reported the sand to management, they claimed their “inspection” proved it was impossible. Of course, they only saw a neatly made bed—I doubt they climbed between the sheets to experience the filth. This is not a private rental—it’s a corporate-run property, like many taking over Portugal. They don’t care about guests, only your money and personal data. We were forced to upload sensitive info just to book, and an hour before check-in, we got a link to breezeway.io, a shady third-party site used by corporate managers to gather guest data under the guise of property care. The management dared to offer a credit for only one night while still charging the full £115.00 cleaning fee—ridiculous given the filth. Corporate management cares nothing for comfort or service; they just want your money and data. Please, give your business to privately managed rentals that genuinely care about your stay. Corporate places like this should only be used if you want to sneak in a pet—and don't worry if your pet makes a mess because the next guest pays for it.

Loved our stay at this clean, modern apartment for our quiet break! I deliberately chose a location where we could walk to the beach (we try to avoid driving), and it was perfect for us. We are in decent shape and don’t mind walking along the road for a bit, so we enjoyed our walks to Praia de Monte Clérigo and adventures crossing the river to Praia do Amoreira very much! If you do drive, you’ll be perfectly located to explore several beaches nearby. Our contact Sercan was so helpful, from welcoming us at the apartment to giving us suggestions for what to see and do. He suggested a reef exploration activity that was one of many highlights of our trip. Plus knowing we had someone to contact in case of issues was reassuring.

Some little elements could be adjusted to make the space more comfortable: holders for the toilet paper roll in the bathroom, adjusting the shower head placement. There aren’t many food options or stores around, but we cooked a lot, and the Portuguese restaurant O Zé is a gem.

Spacious, ver comfortable apartment. Especially the front balcony with beautiful views. Short walk to the beach. Great communication with the staff. Always very helpful.
