• The apartment was exceptionally clean, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for our stay. • Suzanna, the host, was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had, providing excellent customer service. • With two bedrooms and a large living room, the apartment offered ample space for relaxation and family time. • The shower was great, contributing to a refreshing and enjoyable bathing experience. • The presence of a balcony added a lovely outdoor space for enjoying the surroundings.

• The internet connection was notably weak and sporadic, which could be a significant inconvenience for guests requiring reliable online access. • The staircase was extremely narrow and felt dangerously steep, making it a safety hazard, especially for families with small children or for anyone with mobility issues. • The WC and toilet area were quite small, which might be uncomfortable for some guests.

Location was great and the view from the deck was beautiful.

I have stayed in apartments all across Europe and this one is right up there as one of the best. Suzanne, our host, is charming and made us feel extremely welcome when handing over the key, supplying us with useful information regarding the apartment and the nearby attractions. The apartment is spacious, incredibly clean throughout and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The beds are large and very comfortable and there is plenty of hot water for showering. The location in a quiet side street is perfect and allowed for a great night's sleep, yet is only a few minutes walk from the main square with its delightful cafés and restaurants. If you're looking to stay in Alkmaar, then look no further than this fabulous apartment.

Spacious, bright, clean and very comfortable. We really appreciated the dimmable lights, Nespresso machine and the terrace (although it was a bit too cold to use it when we visited). There is a lovely bakery on the next street over, great for breakfast pastries, a lot of good pubs and restaurants, and a big supermarket on the way from the train station. We took the train into Amsterdam every day and it could not have been easier - just tap in and out with a card.

There are a few things that could have made it better, but they are fairly minor! For instance, it would have been useful to have more plugs especially in the bedrooms, and more coat hooks by the door. It would also be great if the internal stairs were carpeted as they are very steep and very slippery.

Great location for shopping and restaurants. Very peaceful at night. The apartment was spotless. Very good communication with Suzanne.
