The Greenplace Lodge. Apartment in Heart of Antwerp.

The location is excellent .

The description does not match the reality. In particular it is not mentioned that the second bedroom is outside the flat on the landing. It has no facilities so to use the bathroom you must go up the stairs to enter the flat and walk through the other bedroom. The so called kitchen is actually in two cupboards and the chest of drawers which serves as a kitchen counter is getting very scruffy. The pillows are very bad and need to be replaced. The bed in the second bedroom on the stairs was badly worn.

The only good thing is location

The photos have nothing to do with reality. Firstly, no one warns that the second bedroom is separate. We stayed there in January, and it was not heated – the temperature was around 15°C. We tried to turn on the heating, but it didn’t work. There was a very strong sewage smell in the bathroom. The apartment was terribly dirty; it was unpleasant even to sit on the couch. But the most disgusting thing was the bed linen and towels, which were clearly not changed. They were covered in stains and had other people’s hair on them…

The Green Place Lodge is home away from home. I love the fireplace area. The serenity and tranquility around the lodge is ideal for a retreat. The absence of a TV is perfect and creates an atmosphere for one to deeply reflect and connect with themselves. It will always be my place of rest whenever I am in Antwerp. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a place to rediscover themselves.

The property is really dirty with lots of flies and I’ve been bitten all over the night so cannot sleep at all. The bed is really smelly. My skin felt very itchy. Alarms from downstairs ring the whole day and only solved in the late night when calling several times / waisting long time and one of the host was still partying.

Location was good

Smells of smoke in unit and watch out for bugs. Room needs to be aired out and cleaned. Quite disappointing.

Perfect location in the center and a good shower.

1. I’m not sensitive to sounds. But we could clearly hear every little move of people staying in the apartment above us. 2. We couldn’t open the bedroom door and bathroom door without moving the beds. 3. To get to the toilet and shower you need to go through the bedroom.. not very convenient if you are with multiple people. 4. Wifi didn’t work. 5. The bed and mattresses are the ones I remember from my stays in cheap hostels. Last.. not applicable to us but for those who bring a heavy suitcase.. the stairs are narrow and steep.

The price, the location, quiet and comfortable.

The method to get the keys is very confusing.
