It’s a beautiful property in a beautiful location. What’s not to like! Big bath in the bedroom was a nice touch too!

The midges, but that’s nothing to do with this fabulous property!

We stayed April 2024. Pretty little self contained ground floor apartment beside the house of the hosts. The apartment has its own front door. The bed was very soft. The kitchen was very well equipped - everything you could need for cooking, including an oven and dishwasher, and dish washing soap was supplied. The bathroom was nice. Location was a short walk (less than 5 minutes) from the Cruin wedding venue, and in the opposite direction only 10 minutes walk from Duck Bay restaurant. It is right on the edge of the loch and easy to get to places to swim in the loch.

Location is only good if for a short stay you are going to the Cruin, or have a car you may stay longer. It is right next to a very busy road and this is loud in the room - it is busy until late at night and starts early in the morning before sunrise. There are a lot of cabins and apartments nearby around the Cruin that are professionally run, and we hadn't realised that this was more amateur and at the hosts house. It was fine but a different dynamic - like a B&B without the breakfast. The shower was not hot only warm, not warm enough after swimming in the cold loch. There was a leak above the main door (in April 2024) which dripped in the rain and the kitchen tap also dripped all the time. The kitchen and bedroom is one room so you hear this all the night too.

This lodge is beautiful located right on the loch, with all the amenities you need and most of all Jeff and Bridie were incredibly kind, attentive and thoughtful hosts who went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable.

Fantastic views over Loch Lomond. Hosts Bridie & Jeff met and welcomed us on arrival and were fantastic. The lodge had everything you could wish for including 2 toilet/ shower rooms and centre piece of a bath in the bedroom. Plenty of things to do in the area and some great restaurants. A full information pack is in the lodge,do take time to go through it. Packed with tips and local information. Wonderful relaxing time..Highly Recommended in a beautiful location.

This was exactly what I was looking for: quiet, comfortable, far away enough from other people but with necessary facilities nearby. The location is great and very easy to get to. Jeff and Bridie are wonderful hosts - they went above and beyond to make sure that my stay was a great one. Highly recommended!
