The Lodge

Really quiet location , very comfortable and cozy , the hosts kept us informed on how to access the lodge and the instructions were really clear . I would stay at the lodge again . There was fresh milk in the fridge plus tea and coffee which was a bonus

What would have made our stay even better , a little table and chairs on the wooden patio outside the lodge . There was a coffee table and lovely out door furniture outside however you couldn't eat a meal off it

The location was convenient for travelling from Cambridge. We wanted to explore the area, which we were familiar with but I wanted to be able to relax and not drive home in the evening. So after the day visiting the various picturesque villages we made supper, had a nice glass of wine or three and watched the Olympics!

The only criticism we have is the tea towels were the fluffy variety which are difficult to dry with. It would also have been useful to have more wine glasses and plates, and a dedicated kitchen towel. Minor things really, and it won't stop us returning. More wine glasses and plates save washing up between courses and I realise it won't be a problem for many.

It had so many really cool features. Loved how quirky it was! Spacious, too! The AC was a very surprising feature and very much needed at this time. Would definitely recommend and go again!

The only thing I would say would be the tv. Simply, because we tend to enjoy Netflix and couldn't do that with that particular TV. However, if you want to spend quite quality time without TV, the host had board games and a selection of books.

The environment is seren. The host was homely. He took his time to explain things to us. You will sure love it there. And the dog was a homely creature.

very easy to fine, a comfortable and secure stay

Lovely location. Really easy check in and out. Plenty of parking. Greeted by 2 dogs. Lovely artwork statues in the grounds. Very quirky little abode. Lovely big room. Plenty of space. Really unusual and interesting decor. Everything you need is there. Washer dryer, fridge, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, microwave ironing board, iron, hover, hair dryer. Incredibly well provisioned. Air con unit was a bonus given the heatwave we are having. Has its own little secluded outdoor seating area too. We would 100% book again.

Bed was a little soft for our liking but that is personal preference. We couldn't get the shower to run hot, but as we were running on a tight schedule, we had to just go with that. I'm sure if we'd had more time and asked the owner, it would have been sorted.

Everything was perfect but shame we didn't get to meet the hosts ..
