Amazing location, beautiful views from the apartment. Clean and spacious place with all the amenities we needed. Bellano is a quiet, picturesque spot on Lake Como – we'd recommend it as a more chilled out spot than some of the other more popular towns on the lake. We also appreciated the detailed instructions the host gave us about collecting the keys and getting into the apartment.

We knew ahead of time that there would be a lot of steps, but there really were! Fine if you're fit and don't have too much luggage, but do be warned otherwise.

Das Schlafzimmerfenster lies sich nicht öffnen. Die nahegelegene Autobahn ist teilweise laut. Um vom Ort zur Unterkunft zu laufen muss man einige Höhenmeter überwinden.

The apartment is quite comfortable with a stylish, new renovation. There’s plenty of space for tree or even four people. Additionally, the apartment has everything you need for cooking, as well as for making coffee and tea. There’s a kitchen area, a cozy spot with a sofa, and stunning views of the lake. The bedroom is also quite comfortable. Also the apartment has parking, which is important on Lake Como.

It was quite hot inside, and we couldn’t adjust the heating to lower the temperature. We also didn’t expect that an apartment so far from the city center would be so noisy. We could hear the sound of water, likely from a nearby river, and early in the morning, there was a lot of noise from passing cars, probably from the highway close to the apartment. Unfortunately, due to the heat and noise, we couldn’t sleep well.

The view is amazing. The kitchen had everything one needs.

I wish it was possible to open the sun window.

The property was clean and nice. We only stayed there for couple of nights so didn’t get to use all of the facilities or make a better judgement of the place, but it was nice nonetheless.

The property is located on the hill in Bellano so please be mindful if you don’t want to face loads of steps every evening to get home. The pick up of keys is not located in the same location as the property. You have to go to the centre of Bellano to collect the keys from a self service box and can only then get into the property. The keys also have to be dropped off at the same location which is slightly inconvenient and should be made apparent in the description of the property. The owners of the property also require to pay city tax in cash upon the time of the check out leaving the money in the lock box together with the key. Considering that people don’t usually carry cash these days this is quite odd to say the least as we’ve had no problem in paying the city tax by card in other places we’ve stayed across Italy on our holiday. We were required to pay €4 for the city tax, but once we’ve said we will need to pay by card we were advised that we will need to pay €6 instead as they will have to pay tax on the city tax? Make of that whatever you want.
