Noisy area; a bit dark room, not much sunlight; shower head needs replacement

The Fort Knox-like room door and strong free WiFi.

Our room (Room 5) faced Via dell'Indipendenza directly. During our three-night stay, this street was undergoing extensive renovation. Pneumatic drills and an excavator kept us awake on two nights, and the noise from a street-cleaning machine woke us up on one occasion at 04:00, which completely ruined our stay 😡😡. The toilet was cramped, and the toilet seat was not secure. Our room was not cleaned throughout our stay, but we tidied it when we checked out. The lift did not stop on the first floor, so we had to lump our luggage up the flight of stairs or take them in the lift to the second floor and lump them down the flight of stairs to the first floor☹️☹️ Surely, the manager had adequate notice of the impending works and the potential noise nuisance but chose profits above the comfort of her clients. Our complaint and request to be moved to another part of the building or a different location was rebuffed. We believe we should be compensated for the unsatisfactory services and that Booking.com should investigate.

Outstanding location and the room had everything we needed including a kitchenette for breakfast.

New shower heads would be great.

The room was super clean with the perfect location in the city!

The location and cleannesss

It was dark

It is a very nice property, 5 minutes away from every attraction, the bed was comfy and the coffee machine provided much needed extra energy.

However, the entrance to the shower was tight, since the door was blocked by the sink and if you are a little heavy or have a bit o a belly, you may not be able to enter the shower.
