Billund Center Apartment

Excellent location within walking distance to all the nearby attractions (legoland, lego house, lalandia). Bus stop is also not too far away if required. Well equipped with all the necessities and Kenni, our host, was very helpful.

Not enough towels, just for shower and the kitchen accessories were not very clean, for ex example, the oven tray was extremely dirty with seemed to be oil or something

It was clean, comfortable, the surrounding is nice and silent. Lego house and the shop is close by foot. Good spot to see the planes landing :)

It is your obligation to wash and dry the dishes, unfortunately the previous users did not do it properly. A barrier in the shower would be useful to prevent water going out.

The place is awesome, very clean, super comfortable and perfect for a family of 4. It’s just a couple of blocks away from the Lego House, so it’s really central in Billund

Absolutely loved the central location of our apartment with only 9 minutes walk to Lego House (must visit again, not only because it’s a Heaven for any Lego fan but the Minichef Restaurant inside has the best meal we’ve ever had on holiday!) from where you can catch the Free Shuttle that visits all the major attractions in Billund including Legoland, Lalandia (a tropical holiday centre with waterpark), Wow Park!, various hotels and finally the Billund Airport before going around the loop again. The apartment has a large open plan living area with kitchen, lounge and dining area, wall mounted TV, bathroom with wet shower room (toilet behind the door in the photo) and a separate bedroom with two single beds joined together (common practice in Europe) and a bunk bed which our boys loved as they’ve never used one before! The hallway has a nice cabinet with a mirror above and coat hooks plus a tray underneath for wet shoes. The kitchen is very well equipped, my husband was made up with a toaster (not a common thing in Europe), there was a microwave, kettle and even a coffee maker. We used the oven for our pizza bought in Netto (only 6 minutes walk) which cost 15DKK and 18DKK as opposed to 109DKK for one pizza in a local restaurant. Large bottle of coke cost only 19DKK in Netto as opposed to one glass for 45DKK in a restaurant. Best of all was our host Kenni who was excellent in communication with us from the moment we booked his apartment right until the day of our arrival but also after we arrived back in UK and realised that our son left his headphones behind and Kenni kindly offered to post them back. This was our second visit to Billund and we fell in love with the place even more than last year and can’t wait to return. Streets are very clean and surprisingly quiet, where did all the people go in Summer? We spent 3 nights in Billund and only met our neighbours once. Photo of Laerkevej Street at 10:50am on Sunday morning and not a soul to be seen!

Loved everything but if you arrive late at night like we did, it was hard to see the numbers on the black lock (part of a door handle) even with the small light above it. So I suggest you shine a light on it with your mobile phone as another person enters the code. This was not a problem in daylight 👍

Great location, short walk to Lego House, bakery/cafes/restaurants and the local supermarket. About 20/25 mins walk to Legoland so all good there too! The apartment is great for a family of 4 on a budget (relatively speaking, as Denmark feels very expensive). It was clean, and everything functioned well - nice bathroom with shower, comfy beds, nice lounge / dining area. Good mini kitchen too. Kenni, the owner, is super friendly and welcoming. He visited us on our check in day and gave us his contact number should we have needed anything.

Ideally there would have been a wardrobe (or equivalent) for having clothes.

A Clean, tidy, and comfortable apartment! We enjoyed a lot!
