The situation is completely unacceptable. Upon arrival, the room was dirty — not a minor issue, but a clear failure to clean the property. When we complained, the only solution offered was to wait until the next day, meaning we were expected to stay in those conditions. We were also told that 5% would be deducted from the cleaner’s pay as a “lesson,” along with a comment that she is an older woman who “needs to learn.” This is completely inappropriate. I made it clear that punishing the cleaner does not solve the problem — it only harms her while management avoids taking responsibility. In the end, I had to clean the apartment myself, and most of the towels smelled awful. At the same time, I was told that management is responsible, which makes it even worse that the blame is being shifted onto an employee instead of being properly handled. Beyond the cleanliness issue, the apartment is clearly neglected: a worn-out mattress with visible springs, mold in the shower, cobwebs, rust, cracked paint, and broken furniture. One of the chairs even collapsed when I sat on it. Basic amenities are missing — no wardrobe, no hangers, no hairdryer, not even a kitchen towel. What is truly outrageous is that the cleaner is penalized while guests receive no compensation at all, despite the overall condition showing long-term neglect. In short, both the cleaner and the guests are the ones affected, while others continue to profit without taking any responsibility. This has, without question, been the worst accommodation I have ever experienced.
