Sunset Star with Sea View

The studio had absolutely everything you needed, even more! And the view is absolutely fantastic ☺️

Owner could provide convector heater which is quiet instead of one with blower which make quit a lot of noise

Very clean apartment at the top of Calheta Estrella. The apartment was well equipped in terms of a coffee machine, hairdryer etc. it had a small lounge but most of the time is spent on the balcony. Comfortable beds and appreciate the apartment providing beach towels.

It was a little bit dark and the lounge was quite small. There was a small battery clip on light in the bedroom but it didn’t work. Please put in bed side lights so that we can read. Good apartment and value for money. It is important to be fit enough to climb the hill to the apartment but local taxis are a good option since they are good value as well.

The view was simply awesome. The apartment was large and with everything needed. The position is very good, near Calheta beach and near the main road towards Funchal, but quiet. The host was very helpful and gave us a reserved parking spot. Really recommended.

Nothing in particular, but I would suggest to put mosquito nets in the small windows to allow to keep the windows open at night.

The location is great, Calheta is a small and quiet place, just what we wanted. It has good places to eat (walking distance) like MAD Cafe as well, and the sunset view is great. The apartment is placed literally above a police station (same building) so there were no concerns about safety or noise at nighttime. Also parking wasn't a problem and we were always able to find a spot to park for free. The host helps you with this by explaining the options.

Minor things, like the bed had a strange smell, and the water pressure is low. Also there was some sawdust in the kitchen utensils tray (unsure how/why). No A/C (aside from a fan) so mosquitoes were regular visitors.
