House nice and new. Fairly clean .Modern. Relatively comfortable . Nothing special.The right house in the wrong place . Netflix, if you came to Clarens to watch TV . Garage acceptable and clean . Designed for smaller cars and SUV's . Host took care to top up the electricity meter which is appreciated .

Keys in a safe with batteries running out . Very impersonal . Outside area filthy. No soap, no liquid soap, no coffee, no sugar , no tea , no welcome note , nothing . I asked for 2 bags of wood for the fire place which I found at arrival. However they were the wrong ones , made for a braai/barbeque. In the fire place they burned in 30 minutes . A filthy bottle of almost finished sanitiser welcomes you . People are raving about the place . I found it mediocre, to say the best. The view ( not exceptional) is over a dusty road that leads to the town's location. Hundreds of people going past , looking at you , asking for things, some selling things. House is actually a street away from town's cemetery and the location . Horrible . If I wanted that I would have stayed in Johannesburg and see a beggar at every corner. Host OK, but brief . Leaves the impression that they do want to communicate with you Two days before checking out I received a WhatsApp message not to forget that the check out time is 10 AM . I was supposed to check out in two days . Rushing to see you out is all I can think off. Maybe a bit of reading about the hospitality industry would help. Safety not up to any standards . A common 3 lever lock at the main door , which is half glass . Not happy . 2towels (one face , one body ) in each bathroom . And the booking says 2adults and two children . As I said , no effort is done to make your stay pleasant. To exit , you have to put the keys in the outside safe ( By the way , there is no safe in the house )and try to rush trough the gate in a hope that it won't close over your car. if you don't make it , try again. Now that's pathetic .I will be more selective next time .

The cottage were stylish, comfortable and exceptional clean. Locked up garage with entrance into cottage was a welcoming bonus. Quiet and peaceful with beautiful views. Loved every minute of our stay!

The place is fantastic, the rooms where clean. The rooms set up gives privacy .
