I travel a lot for work and this is an excellent place: incredibly well furnished at a high standard, immaculately clean and very central, but quiet. I absolutely appreciated that the proprietors had left tea, coffee etc for the first day, so that one does not have to rush to a supermarket after a long journey (although there is one just over the little brook). Some real thought has gone into the place. The landlord/landlady are very nice and helpful. This is the second time we have stayed at Kissinger and I am not surprised that they are already booked for the next time we come to Detmold.

This is the best place to stay in Detmold! You can walk to grocery and bakery. It is a beautiful, spacious, and quiet place. We cooked Thanksgiving dinner in their lovely modern kitchen which had everything we needed. The flat is in a charming residential area. Private parking space for our rental car. The host was helpful, kind, and immediately responded to our questions. Excellent!! Our daughter lives in Detmold and it was a 10 minute walk to her place and the park and opera house. We will rent this place again!
