Haus Bergsonne

Well equipped, clean apartment with everything we might have needed in the kitchen. We stayed on the ground floor which was well heated and had direct access to the garden which came handy, since we traveled with our dog. The owner also has a dog, but she stays in their apartment, so we basically never met, only heard some barking. :) There is a sauna on floor -1 which can be turned on upon request and a separate room for ski equipment, including boots heaters. We loved these features! In the mornings fresh bakery products arrive at your doorstep if ordered on the previous night through the owner. I was pregnant during our stay so did not go skiing, but the area is full of beautiful hiking roads and walkways starting near the house. These are highly recommended - especially with small children or dogs. My husband and our friends went skiing to Obertauern which is an easy, 25 min drive from the apartment. We have a favorite restaurant in the area called Hoagascht, which is a 7 mind drive from the place. Been there twice during the week, it is an absolute must if you love steak, schnitzel and delicious wine. Reservation in advance is highly recommended.

Before check-in we could not reach the owner through booking.com, which worried us, but luckily their number is listed under the apartment details so we could call/text them. This remained the way of communication during our stay as well. Parking is a little tricky in front of the house, since the road is icy and the area is a bit steep. Navigating in and out might require some practice.

House is nice and clean. Family is very friendly and helpful. There is also a sauna which we didn´t use as it was summer when we visited, but it must be great after the whole day of skiing.

The only negative is the highway noise. Despite it´s covered by some sort of a tunnel you can still here the distant humming if the windows are open. No problems with closed windows.

Modern, compact apartment with easy access to all the ski lifts in the area. No problems, recommended.

Don’t forget to bring your own toiletries, there’s no shower gel etc provided.
