Panoramic View Apartment

Wonderful apartment with gorgeous views of Funchal, mountains and the ocean. The apartment has everything you need, including a washing machine and dishwasher, microwave, oven and sandwich maker! I don't understand the bad comments: there was no smell (perhaps we were not in the hot season). Parking is not the easiest, but we were glad that it is available, it is difficult in Funchal. The coolest thing is that you could check in from the very morning. And it was very clean. And we had many towels!

If you find fault, then only to such trifles: there is no socket in the bathtub. You could also leave oil in the kitchen, but there was salt! But if you travel by car, you can safely buy everything. The store is not far away.

- the parking is a nightmare, it made me dread using my car since it was so difficult to get it in and out - bit of a scarcity mindset when it comes to disposable supplies like washing machine capsules (I had a single one for 5 nights. I think being more generous would have been great for very little cost), also no coffee, oil, etc.

Location was good, not far from the city center, with nice view fom the windows and enough space inside. The private parking place is also very useful

It was too expensive for what it offers. It doesn't provide the basic needs (sugar, olive oil, coffee, tea...) or only the minimum amount for the 1-2 first days. It'd be nice to have the minimum for the entire stay, especially for rentals of more than a week. Reminder for couples that the bedroom provides 2 singles beds, not a double sized one.

The kitchen was usefull. It has cutlery and pots which needed. The view on the ocean was pretty good.

First of all the terrible smell coming from the bathroom. Closing the bathtub after the shower doesn't help. It is probably the washing machine? After laundry the smell was better for few hours? I. But the rest of timeu smell was too overwhelming and keeping the windows open the entire time does not help. Morover in the bedroom there are no proper beddings. We get two definitely old duvets which are not secured with an outer pillowcase. I was shocked. It is unacceptable. I really regret renting this apartment considering its price.

The only positives of this flat are the location (with its drawbacks which is a steep hill but in the end its Madeira so its okay) and the beautiful view out of the apartment. Easy and comfortable check in.

The flat have countless drawbacks. First one is the terrible smell coming from the sewage system (and despite what the landlady writes - closing the bathtub after the shower doesn’t help at all). The smell in the bathroom is too overwhelming and even keeping the window open the entire time does not help. Second, the flat is rather old and not well maintained. If you host people regularly please at least invest in small repairs or painting. The sofa in the saloon is wrecked and dirty. The window in the saloon is cracked and the water is coming in during rainy days(despite you exchanged it already twice you still host people and it would be nice if you took care of it even just for the good impression of your guests). In the bedroom there are no proper beddings. You get two definitely old duvets (i did not trust the hygiene of those) with a blanket under which you sleep. I made a complaint to the host after check-in and she said she would take care of it and bring us proper beddings but then she used an excuse and ignored this, we did not hear from her anymore afterwards (she claimed she is not on the island and cannot find anyone to handle this matter for us). In the end, we ended up sleeping under the not hygienic duvets (in my opinion) which i find shocking until now. The parking in the yard is extremely disappointing, impossible to park there with a rental car. The water boiler is set to the minimum (we managed to change the temperature on the heater but many people does not about it and they end up taking showers in cold water). Value for the money -1/10.

Bathroom smelled like sewage all the time Hot water was barely enough for two baths in a row. The living room did not have any protection in the windows, like blackouts; it was difficult to sleep with so much light coming in. The house in terms of space is acceptable for two people, for more it's not comfortable. The apartment needs some renovation works, especially in the bathroom (old bathtub) and also in the windows in the living room (some windows were cracked).

The views are everything! The apartment was clean and modern. It was equipped enough for comfortable stay, also having additional blankets and heat radiators. Self check-in was also easy and instructions understandable.

Sometimes hot water run out too fast for some reason. Also there’s not enough sockets to turn on grill and heat dryer for example.
