"Great location in beautiful setting"

Great location in idyllic, tranquil and picturesque location. Attended a wedding at Blake Hall which was only a short 10 minute drive away. Received a lovely warm welcome from Lesley who was the perfect host. The accommodation was lovely and clean, bed was extremely comfortable and it had great facilities. Added bonus of having Lesley’s three beautiful shetland ponies as our neighbours. Just wished we could have stayed longer

"A little gem in the countryside."

This is a little gem, tucked away in the countryside and perfect for our needs (an overnight stay for after a nearby wedding). Our host, Leslie, was there to welcome us on arrival and was very helpful regarding local information. The guest house was compact, tastefully decorated, and very cosy, with a very comfortable bed and furnishings. Free WiFi and TV (including Netflix), a small kitchen area with fridge and en suite facilities. The guest house is towards the end of a 1.5 mile lane and, as such, was very quiet and peaceful. There are many public footpaths to explore the area and lots of wildlife (we saw a herd of wild deer in one of the nearby fields). As an added bonus, Leslie offers a taxi service at very reasonable rates, which proved invaluable for us in getting to and from our wedding venue.

This is a great little find in the Essex area, this is my second stay here and most definitely won't be my last.

The fact that I didn't book longer Next time I will extend my stay
