Zu Pippo's House

A beautiful old traditional house, spotlessly clean and very close to the train and bus stations, as well as the historic centre of Catania. The hosts are lovely people, very helpful. The beds and pillows were comfortable and a lovely hot shower. The walls are very thick so we didn't hear the neighbours at all.

The only downside is the traffic noise from the road but this is in the city centre so road noise is to be expected.we used earplugs which helped greatly.

Spacious traditional apartment...with beautiful hand crafted furniture. Very friendly hosts. Just a few minutes walk from the train and bus stations.

Marco and his mom, are the kindest persons ever! Any questions we had they were there to answer, and give us an advice! The accommodation ia beautiful, and it had everything we could possibly need! At the end we felt sorry that we couldn't stay more!

Very close to central train station, walking distance to city center. Spacious apartment. For me perfect place to stay.

The owners went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable: beds and towels were carefully prepared like in a 5* hotel and they even put a candy on each bed to give it a personal touch wherever possible. They knew we are leaving early in the morning so they put for us fresh fruits, water, coffee and even some candies for our child. we met them: an old man, his daughter and her son-all very kind people who went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. They are obviously very poor and that’s why their kindness and generosity and their sincere sense of hospitality . was so touching.

Catania in general is not a place to stay :( especially not with kids. Unless you have to catch an early flight. Dirt and poverty and sadness are “in your face”. So was our feeling about the apartment: old and torn, although features an original floor and filled with beautiful vintage furniture and some unique vintage pieces..

Lovely traditional family home. Very good location for train & bus station especially if you have an early bus or train. Easy walk to central area for restaurants etc. All facilities very good and apartment very spacious. Welcoming host and some lovely touches when we arrived - fruit, sweets etc Very good value

Traffic outside is moist at night so ear plugs useful. No WiFi.

Very nice host! Location 10 minutes walk to the train station and 20 minutes from city center. Noisy, but this is everywhere in Catania. Safe area. Old appartment, but all the facities included, big rooms, good bed. Maybe microwave could be a good ideea.

Noise in the street, but this is every where in Catania I think.
