Friends & Family Apartment - Free parking car

Great location, close to bus routes and restaurants and supermarkets. The apartment was well kitted out with everything you need.

Catania is very noisy, lot's of traffic noise so we could not open the windows while we were in. Also, we found the beds too soft and it would have been nice to have a list of TV channels in English...bbc for example. Full details of arrival and access should be sent well in advance. Our flight was very late, we did not have internet, so we struggled to get into the flat. It would have been nice to know before we left the UK, because the access was complicated and we do not speak the language. Access is too complicated and there were many keys. Luckily our taxi driver helped or we would not have been able to get into the flat.

Under the flet is an restaurant and they start to cleaning in the middle of the night, make a lot of noise and is impossible to sleep. Also they clean the chitchen and all the dirty water get down in the parking car, smell like in the fish market, oribil.

We would have happily stayed for more than 5 nights. Lift. Spacious, modern, cosy apartment. Comfortable beds. Two bathrooms. Safe building. Secure, free, closed parking. The centre is in walking distance - 1,5 km - but several buses run towards the center, the stops are in front of the building. Underground is also available, the stop is 300 m. Busy street, but the windows are perfectly soundproofed. Do not expect quietness, Catania is a busy, Sicilian city:) There are various shops in the area (food, fish, pizza, vegetables..)

Unbearable noise at all times. Constant traffic outside, however during the night a lot of noise comes from the restaurant downstairs with people slamming doors, moving chairs and tables, shouting, TV at high volume... It's basically impossible to open the windows as noise and smog come in. I think the host should inform the customers beforehand, charge less and at least provide ear plugs. No hooks in the bathrooms to hang towels No kitchen rolls provided air con doesn't go below 24 degrees I wasn't provided with a key for the door in Via Ingegnere so I had to enter from the garage in via Etnea

The streets of Catania are very loud, so it is impossible to have open windows
