Halifax House, One Bedroom Apartment 216

Location was good. Clean and comfortable with nice decor. Spacious with everything you needed in the kitchen.

No toilet roll holder. Couldn't open windows enough to get fresh air as it was hot. The bin area outside was disgusting.

(1) Very clean appartment. Good size, well proporyioned. (2) TV worked with a good picture, and had all Freeview channels plus Netflix and Youtube. (3) The kitchen had cutlery, crockery oven, hob, kettle, microwave, toaster, fridge, and a combined wahing machine-dryer. So, ideal for a longer stay too. (4) There was the addition of some toilet rolls, washing up liquide, salt and pepper, soap and shampoo that are not always provided with safe-catering.

(1) I am not sure the name of the building was displayed on the outside. I am not sure how long it woukd have taken me to find the correct building if the taxi driver hadn't taken me there. (2) There was not an anti-slip mat or sticker on shower floor. (3) the shower shelf/basket was way too high for a normal height person to use. It should have been placed to one side just below the hight of the shower fitting. (4) The bathroom door seemed to be hung on the wrong side of the door frame, so I had to close the door everytime I wanted to swirch the light on or off. (4) The bed too low for me. I am old. (5) The bed to soft for me. (6) the sofa was too low for me. It took me 5 minutes and a lot of effort to get up off it. (7) The lounge chair was a good height and comfortable, but there was only one. If there had someone with me they wouldn't have had a chair (because i would have been sat on it) and probably wouldn't have been able to use the sofa due yo its height. There needs to be a second lounge chair. (8) The appartment was very clean but spiders webs were in the window frame of one lounge window. (9) I didn't hear much noise from the other appartments, but the apoartments either side seem to cutrently be empty. (10) There needs to be a small handle on the inside of the front door to the building, as there is not a way to pull the door shut to prevent someone following a perdon in. (11) I am worried about maintenance of the general corridors/stairs where smeone has patch-painted the walls. Paint on the stair carpets between floor 1-2. Carpet coming off vertical areas of the stairs, and metal tread missing between floors 0-1, which are both trip hazzards and a health and safety issue.

Great location. Close to town. Shane is very helpful.

The apartment was hot only a fan, and the access stairs were dirty and smelled of urine not cleaned the whole weekend
