Very central, yet in a quiet alley, so were not disturbed by noise. Cosy.

Shower. Too high up to reach/hang the shower head. Toilet seat loose, needs to be fixed. May I suggest A dish cloth and paper towels for the kitchenette. Some hooks to hang up jackets. The key was very tricky. It was hard to unlock/open tve door.

Very good location for the old town and the waterfront. The apartment is on the first floor and there's a lift, so good for people of limited mobility. Our hosts provided good recommendations for local restaurants which was great as there are so many! Apartment has everything you need for staying a week or two. Nearby bakery and coffee shops good for breakfast.Oh, and the flat is quite large...and the building quiet and clean.

The bed is slightly hard. Not a problem for us but perhaps for others. Also, being in the old town and near a road, there's road noise ...we only noticed it in the mornings.

Central location in old town.Balcony with nice street view. Comfortable bed. Washing machine. Welcome treats. Good communication with staff. Nice appartment.

Nothing really. Fold out sofa not that comfortable but there was a better foldup bed provided.

The property is very central which is excellent for accessing everything in Funchal. Access to the building and apartment is very easy with the door codes and key box. The property had the basic facilities, we did cook a couple of nights which was really handy to have. It was very clean when we arrived and plenty of space to move around in. There's a wardrobe with plenty of room to hang or store clothes. Overall it was what we needed for the stay.

It's right next to the main road which made it a little noisy but Funchal and Madeira in general are not very noisy places, would recommend ear plug if you're a light sleeper. You can't open the windows just a little, which meant that the cooking smell stuck around. Also, the windows open out onto a rooftop and one evening there were a couple of men stood out there for a while. The window is quite big so if I was on my own I might have felt a little unsafe. Also, the shower went cold very quickly after the first person's shower, so the second person had a cold shower.

The location was great, close to everything. The apartment was well equipped and welcoming. Also the host was kind and supportive with our questions
