We were extremely happy with our accommodation, the apartment was spacious, very comfortable, well equipped and the staff thought even of small details like leaving washing pods for us. We rented a car, so a free underground parking was very helpful. Location was also perfect, as everything was within a short walking distance.

Located in the centre of Funchal, about a 5-10min walk to the old town. Also supplied underground parking which was very useful since we parked the car

The location was ideal, very easy to get to the heart of the city and great service, Pedro met us at the place and was very kind and helpful, sharing excellent food suggestions with us and other advice regarding travel and things to do in Funchal. The place was also very clean and fully equipped

The hosts are great. They add you to a big WhatsApp group chat and for the most part, respond very quickly. The kitchen is stocked with basically everything you need. The view was also very nice, you can see the mountains and it's a very classic European look.

There were a lot of things that didn't go well. Firstly, if you value cleanliness, I highly highly don't recommend. When we arrived, the bed sheets were dirty and it was about three days until they were changed. The bed is upholstery and had stains on it and so did the carpet. There were earwigs in the bathroom and they charge you 25 euros if you have a stay greater than 7 days to do a cleaning. They provide three laundry pods which I found was enough, but there are no additional garbage bags (or at least I wasn't able to find them). The location is up a hill and the elevators are very small (a consideration if you have someone with a disability). Overall, we tried to enjoy our stay, but I would not recommend staying here if you have any other option. The parking also didn't work the first day and wouldn't let us out of the lot. I needed the attendant (who spoke no English at all) to try to reset the pass. If you go, make sure you hold the key pass on the reader, don't just tap.
